DATELINE: 12/07 Happy Holidays!

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone and Merry Christmas and a Great New Year…Thank You all so Much for supporting my artistic endeavor here, and for all the Great feedback responses you leave at the ebay store…As I spend countless hours alone in my studio painting, it’s your comments that make my work worthwhile, so Thank You so much for that!

Another BIG THANKS to Randy Fish editor of Drag Racer Magazine, for running my “McCoy Mercury” painting. It’s been great fun to hear from people all over the country, and to talk about these old Drag Racing Greats! I’ve also heard from the Al Graeber family of sorts. Scott Kuck is restoring Al’s awesome Charger. I can’t wait to see the car when it’s finished. Good Luck on the project Scott..

The latest art this quarter, hasn’t been as much as would have liked. The ebay store keeps so busy I haven’t had much time to paint, but I did manage a couple of things…The “Gas Masters,” is a painting of Stone Woods and Cook’s black car, racing “Big John.” I’m very happy with how this painting turned-out, the sunset reflected on the side of the S.W.C. car is just Very Cool!

Also, with some reference help from photog Steve Reyes, I did this piece on the “Mister T” Corvette funny car getting sideways at Orange County.

My latest finished piece is “Ground Pounders” at Pomona! This is an awesome Top Fuel piece...We’re still trying to determine who the driver of the foreground car is. Don Ewald of the “We did it for love” website thinks that it is Kelly Brown. Brent Cannon (of Cannon and Soares fame) stopped by my studio the other day, he thinks this is Gerry “the Hunter” Glen. Hopefully we’ll know for sure soon. I think this is one of the “Best” Top Fuel paintings I’ve seen, certainly the Best I’ve painted…

The piece on the drawing board now, is Charlie Allen and his Dodge Dart, winning the Hot Rod meet at Riverside in 1969… Then, I have a Great nighttime piece from Orange County, Thanks to my friend Tom West…. I have so many great images lined-up to do, that I can’t wait to get them all done…
