The "Chi-Town Hustler" 1969 Dodge Mini-Charger owned and operated by John Farkonas, Austin Coil, and Pat Minick.

Farkonas designed the car, while Minick handled the driving chores, and Dodge trained mechanic Austin Coil turned the wrenches on the big Hemi. (Of course we all know Austin wennt on to become John Force's Championship Winning Crew Chief.

The "Hustler" was one of the "most-feared" cars on the 1970 Funny Car circuit. While the Mini-Charger boys didn't invent the burnout, they certainly were one of the first to make a show of it. The Mini-Charger's powerful burnouts seemed to intimidate the competition, and the car's awesome horsepower flat out ran everyone else. In early 1970, the Dodge was one of the first cars to break into the sixes running a 6.86 at 210 mph.

At the 1970 Popular Hot Rodding meet at U.S. 131 Dragway in Martin, Michigan, Pat Minick proved his skills as a driver. In one of the wilder runs, the Carger hiked the front wheels up in the air for about 300', as the car came down it blew the front left tire. Pat muscled the car across the finish line to safe stop, and then calmly went on to win the event.

The "Hustler" was also a visually appealing car, with its candy red and white graphics, accented with gold-leaf signs, this turly was an awesome ride! Design Tech Graphics
