Airbrush Artist and Design Wizard David Carl Peters, has designed over 1,000 cars for NHRA and IHRA Drag Racing, and for the Pro Street, and Custom Car circuits. For his imaginative graphic designed paint schemes, he has received over 100 "BEST APPEARING CAR" awards...
When he is not designing, he is working on his long term project, creating an illustrated history of the sport of Drag Racing and Hot Rodding. Here at our store, you may acquire Limited-Edition Prints of these fabulous cars (in our "CLASSIC CENTERSPREADS" galleries), as he completes each image. The end goal of this project is going to be a book. Once the book (to be named later), is published, these prints will no longer be available seperately...

To receive this discount you must order by phone by calling (951) 688-3086 Plumber at Pomona! Limited-Edition Print of 350 (13 x 19) signed and numbered by the artist.. Bill Rieck's "Quarterbender" Dodge Dart FX/er "hittin the silk" at the Winternationals in Pomona in 67. " I guess I'll have to finally admit that these 66 Dodge Dart bodied FX/ers were my favorite Funny Cars...Maybe it's because my big brother had a new Dart in 66, it was red with Cragar wheels, and as a kid, that was an awesome looking car to me.. The same could be said for Bill Rieck's imaculate Aqua colored 66 Dodge Dart.. I spent about an hour on the phone with Bill's widow reminising about Bill and his racing experiences...She told me this Dart body was the first all fiberglass body built by the Dodge factory... However, Bill and his buddies altered the body quite a bit from the factory version. They stretched the front end about 20" overall, and they moved the rear wheels forward. Since Dick Landy also had a Dart, Bill and his gang changed the rear window post ( C Piller) to look like a Valiant instead of the Dart...The original bumpers and grill were fiberglassed right on to the body...I always loved the Aqua color of this car, it was just very clean looking... I found this image to paint, in my Bob Wagner photo collection...(There are serveral more paintings coming from that great collection.) I'm glad I was finally able to do this painting of this turely memorable FX/er...I think it's the best image I've seen of the car.."
